Zero Waste Bags

Hoop Stripe Library Bag
€60.00

Zero Waste Library Bag: hoop stripe design in bottle green and parchment Irish linen.

The Story of Zero Waste Bags
Whilst I am scrupulously careful about how I lay out pattern pieces to make garments in order to maximize what can be cut from the fabric, inevitably, there are off-cuts and short lengths left over. Zero Waste Bags are made from the remnants of Irish linen and by their nature no two are going to be quite the same. I look at the small pieces and figure out what design is going to make sense, both to use the scraps efficiently and be aesthetically pleasing. Zero Waste is a big claim to make and in all honesty it’s really hard to produce Zero Waste, but that’s my ultimate goal for a sustainable making practice.

Features
*approximately 38x38cm
*lined, with two internal pocket compartments.
*made from off-cuts of Irish linen
*using what already exists
